There’s a common idea that “corporate” branding me
There’s a common idea that “corporate” branding means safe, neutral, and stripped of personality.

But that hasn’t been our experience.

The accountants we work with are thoughtful, funny, honest, and full of personality. Strategy sessions are rich, human conversations.

The issue isn’t the industry. It’s the assumption that being professional requires you to tone yourself down and fit into a mould.

In reality, the opposite is true.

When your branding reflects who you actually are, it builds trust faster and attracts the right clients. Good marketing divides. That’s where the strength is.

If your firm feels more human than it looks online, it’s worth closing that gap.

Capture one piece of client praise

When a client thanks you, praises your work, or comments positively on working with you, take five minutes to capture it.

It could be a line from an email, a Slack message, or a sentence from a call that stuck with you. Copy the exact words they used into a note. 

Why this matters:
Anything you say about your own firm sounds like opinion. When the same message comes from a client, it carries far more weight.
Saving client language gives you credible, outside proof of your value. That kind of evidence builds trust faster than any self-written description ever will.
Once you’ve gathered these words, you can ask for permission and use them on your website, in emails, and in social marketing.

🚦A quick boundary:
This is for internal use only. You can’t quote a client publicly without their permission.

For now, you’re just capturing the words so they’re not lost. Permission is a separate step for another day.
