What exactly is included?
Every website we build is custom to your accounting firm and so your website project may look different to someone else depending on what you need. As a minimum, every website project includes:
- Custom content, design and development
- Pages for blog, contact, terms & conditions, and privacy policy
- Basic SEO and analytics set up right from the start
- Full launch, including liaising with your IT company as needed during launch period
- 2 weeks premium website maintenance post-launch
- Regular check-ins with your project manager
Will I need to write my own content and provide my own imagery?
Our web team builds your firm’s website on WordPress because this platform is:
• Easier to manage: either you’ll be familiar with it already, or your website team/IT company will be. And it’s very easy to find WordPress developers if you need them, if for any reason you want to take responsibility for your own site.
• Increased integration capability: Just about any app can be integrated with a WordPress site – either via plugins, or with custom dev work.
• Full ownership: the entire site belongs to you, with a full administrator access provided once we hand over post-launch. We have monthly web maintenance services if you need them, but the site is yours and you won’t be held hostage to a platform you don’t understand or aren’t able to access.
• No templates: we custom build in WordPress so you get the familiarity of the system without the restrictions of a template (or the security issues of a template which is no longer supported)
• SEO & Analytics: We’ll set up basic SEO and your core analytics (such as Google Analytics) right from the start. This way any progress can be seen earlier on, and adjustments made.
How long will it take?
We can launch the first stage of your new website within 3 months, or 6 months, depending on your payment plan. This process includes strategy sessions, custom content, design and development, launch preparation and liaising with your IT company, and then full launch (and post-launch support).
Timings depend on how quickly you provide feedback and how available you are to schedule the needed meetings. We will work with you to ensure your project is completed within the timeline you agree with your project manager at the start.
What do you need from me?
We need you to collaborate with us. This is your website project: we are the ones helping guide you through it to the site you own and are proud of. This means you will:
- Show up for meetings
- Do your homework (send us notes, videos, and input as needed)
- Ask questions (anything you don’t understand or want to be clearer on)
- Have an opinion (don’t hold back thinking “well they’re the experts” if there’s something which isn’t sitting right – even if you aren’t sure why!)
