Can I use my own website developers?

Yes, you can. Although part of your website project with PF will include the actual build of your website, our more important role is to help you dig deep into your ideal client journey so we can craft a website which takes your visitor the perfect journey for you. This helps speed up the prospect process so by the time they come to you, they already know who you are, how you work and how you can help them. Your website project quote will include the website build and if you wanted to take your website structure and design elsewhere, you are free to do so.

What platform do I need to build my site on?

When your website is built by PF, we build it on a custom site platform. This enables you to have your website built from a “blank canvas” (i.e you can build your site from scratch and have it custom to you). You’ll have more control over the specific layout and design options compared to templated website platforms where there is less flexibility.

What's the difference between the core & customer journey sites?

The core site has been developed for smaller, startup firms or those who need a good site as soon as possible, including the core elements of what every good website needs, whilst still customised uniquely to your firm, brand, and audience. You start with 3 pages and this project is finished more quickly than the Journey site.

The Customer Journey site is for firms who are more established, clear about who you serve as well as your processes & way. You may have a unique audience (or several niche audiences), a clear brand and tone of voice, or more clarity around your unique approach and the way you deliver value. You also need more pages such as careers, onboarding, prequalifying, and so on. This is at least a 10 page site and may have up to 20 pages (or more).

Why does it take 6-7 months?

Part of what you get when you work with PF is a full creative agency working together: all thinking, creating, questioning, collaborating on your website project. The team includes strategists, designers, content writers and website developers all of who are working together to build the best website we can for you. The process can feel long, and maybe you wish it was quicker, but we believe in order to produce the best work for our clients, we need this amount of time so as not to rush any stage of the project.

I don’t want to use stock imagery. What can I use instead?

Before you decide you definitely don’t want to use any stock imagery, take a few minutes to read this blog from one of our designers – ‘How to choose the right stock imagery’, so you have all the information before making a decision. If you still decide you don’t want to use any stock imagery on your website, the alternative would be life photos. You can arrange a photographer to do a photoshoot with your team, and PF can support you with this process.

What exactly is included?

Every website we build is custom to your accountancy firm and so your website project may look different to someone else depending on what you need. As a minimum, every website project includes:

– 5 fully built custom core website pages
– Content and design for each page
– Support package for pre and post-launch
– Regular check-ins with your CMM

Will I need to write my own content and provide my own imagery?

No. Most definitely not. For every website we build, our content team crafts the word and our designers create the pages and source imagery which fits with your brand and message. We will ask for your opinion and collaboration throughout the project, and at times may ask for you to supply images of yourself and your team but we will never ask you to write your own content or source your own images. We take that on as our responsibility as part of the project.

How long will it take?

Your website project will tend to take about 6 months. We know this can feel long (and others may have assured you they’ll build and launch a site in a fraction of that time). Our approach is to build you the best website which fully reflects you: and we’re also aware that with the best will in the world, life and business gets really busy, so we’ve included time for our work and your collaboration and review.

This means we allow time for, and never rush, the strategy sessions, the design brainstorms, the homepage presentation, feedback sessions and then the design of your other pages. Timings also depend on things from your end: whether you give us feedback within the agreed timelines, if you reschedule arranged meetings, if there are delays in decision making. We will work with you to ensure your project is completed within the timeline you agree with your CMM at the start, and there is responsibility on both our side and yours to keep to that timeline.

What do you need from me?

Nobody knows your firm like you do. You have the knowledge and story behind your business and the ideal client journey you want a visitor to take through your website so you will need to be actively involved and present in your website build. We bring our expert website and marketing knowledge and experience. Together, we’ll make a great team. We’ll need you to live up to the PF values throughout the website build process:

1. Collaboration: You’ll participate in discussions, share ideas and feelings (of all kinds.).

2. Opinion: We don’t want you to simply agree to be agreeable. We want your honest opinion and feedback so we can create the very best brand for accounting firm.

3. Transparency: your branding project will be an emotional experience. It’s exciting and fun, but it can also be challenging and confusing. We want to create a space where you can share your honest emotions, both positive and negative.

4. Graciousness: You might feel a little frustrated or overwhelmed at times and we want to work through that with you.

5. Positivity: We encourage you to look for the good when dealing with the challenges of a brand project.

6. Responsibility: You will take ownership of your brand and be actively involved in the process.
