Client Marketing Strategist (UK)

In this role, you’ll be responsible for understanding client’s needs and goals, and translating those business goals into a marketing strategy. You’ll keep track of marketing trends and apply them to the work you do with your clients. You’ll enjoy creating and maintaining a positive client experience and will work with a client project manager to ensure all work is achievable within set budgets and timeframes.
You’ll get the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across the company including design, content, web and the leadership team – with the focus on creative ideas to better serve clients. You’ll feel comfortable working cross-divisionally and are confident enough to advocate for clients’ needs.

You’ll join our core team of strategists and will work closely with them – Marketing Strategists, Brand Strategist, Content Strategist – to achieve these goals.

Role objectives (including KPI’s)
- Client ROI: All clients responsible for, are reaching or progressing towards their desired ROI
- Speed of response: Responding to clients and team within 24 hours or less
- Speed of delivery: Responsible to ensure projects are delivered on time or earlier, every time
Key skills
- Big-picture strategy view: what approach are we recommending, and why?
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities – you regularly assess market conditions, client needs, and the best path forward
- ROI: Is the return on investment the client wants reasonable/achievable?
- Tactics: What specific actions will help the client achieve their desired ROI?
- Client-facing: Leading strategy for the clients you’re responsible for. You have support of the team, but the buck stops with you (and the responsibility sits with you)
- Budgeting & profitability: work with the Project Manager to determine profitability and ensure your projects and clients are overall profitable
- Integration of AI with all tasks : always looking for ways to do it faster, better, more efficiently. Experiment and propose AI-driven efficiencies to help you succeed in your role, with the bonus extra of helping the rest of the team succeed in theirs
- Leadership: Is an example to the other team members (and the clients) in all these areas
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to mentor and guide other strategists on the core team – ie brand strategist, content strategist
- Helping build the strategy playbook at PF
Tasks & responsibilities
Marketing Strategy:
- Direct marketing strategy for all clients you are responsible for
- Lead Foundational strategy sessions from start to finish
- Hold sales calls and meetings as needed
- Review the client experience dashboard regularly and ensure all clients are receiving the services they want and need
- Create (and collaborate with the team on) marketing campaigns including detailed planner for individual clients – strategy documents, briefs, client plans, and reporting
- Track and interpret marketing data to report on campaign performance and ROI; share insights and strategic recommendations with clients.
- Adapting strategies over time (ie if a campaign underperforms, responsible for iterating or course-correcting the plan)
Review, support & coaching:
- Actively checking execution (copy, design, delivery). Review content, design, web, and other creative work before it goes to the client
- Provide strategic support for outsourced/partnered suppliers to ensure the work delivered fits the client strategy & needs and delivers a result
- Coach other strategists, lead coaching sessions for clients, lead retrospectives, and provide feedback on other team members’ strategy work
- Educate and inspire the rest of the team on how marketing and business strategy affects every part of the marketing we do
Client relationship & meets:
- Full ownership of the client relationship
- Leadership of internal client meetings, as well as team meets as needed. Responsible for setting agendas & following up
- Maintain regular communication with assigned clients through messages, videos, project management system, meetings, check-ins, and reporting to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
Deliver results (internal & external):
- Work independently as well as cooperatively with the remainder of the team and outsourcers to meet deadlines and stay within budget on simultaneous projects. Continuously review the efficiency and profitability of these systems, and provide data as required
Build playbook & systems:
- Proactively examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve our marketing strategy, as well as the client experience. Research, test and implement new processes where relevant.
Experience required
Minimum of five years experience in marketing strategy and setting, leading and reaching marketing goals.
Preferred but not required: Experience working with accountants, accounting firms, and/or bookkeepers. Degree/certification in marketing, communications, public relations or related field
Hours
This is a full time role and you’ll be required to work full time in a UK time zone.
Location
You be based in the UK for this role. This is a remote role, so you can work from locations to suit you, as long as you have solid internet access and can jump on Slack or Zoom video calls at any time.
You will be expected to travel primarily within your region but also globally (which would be discussed ahead of time) to meet with clients, team members and to attend workshops and events.
Salary & bonuses
The salary for this role is £50k pa.
We pay all-team bonuses when company wide and departmental targets are reached. You also get:
