The more vague your ‘target audience’ is, the longer it takes for your prospects to buy. To speed up that process, and help them decide faster, you need to be crystal clear about who you serve, what their problems are, and how you help solve those.
You are not the hero: your client is the hero! We'll talk about why audience is everything, and why every piece of marketing content you create will be targeted entirely towards them. What qualities does this target audience have? What qualities do you want them to have?
Go deep: What issues & problems do they have? Because all your content is supposed to be so specific that those reading it (if they're the right person) will say, "Oh, that’s me!” We'll go through the specific issues and problems faced by the audience we discussed in session 1.
Niche is a tough one because we tend to think it's an industry. But what is a niche? Is it only an industry? Isn’t one niche or audience boring? What about my existing clients - will I put them off if I choose an exclusive niche?
Whether you've chosen a specific audience by this point, or you're still deciding, you need to create content specifically for them. We'll talk about how to 'test' content - what to create, how to share it in the right ways and in the right places, so it gets seen. And so you can determine if this is the best audience to focus on.
