Karen Reyburn

My two skills of accounting and creativity combine to form both the person I am and this agency I founded in 2012. I originally qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the States, and moved to Scotland in 2001. For five years I worked for an accounting firm in Scotland as their business development manager, and created a consultancy division which I managed. This led into accepting a role with a network of accountants, who I supported with consulting and marketing support, and running the European division of the network.

From those experiences I realised accountants didn’t need yet another person telling them WHAT to do: they needed an agency who uniquely understood accountants and marketing both, and could help them actually get this marketing work done, in a collaborative way with a creative team.

I’m a dual British-American citizen and I live and work from Scotland (the most beautiful country in the world). I have spoken in person and online for organisations such as Xero, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), BKR International, AccountingWeb, and Accountex. I have written the manuscript of my first book, with three more on the way, and I love writing, coaching, and leading accountants and my team.

I’m fuelled by daily walks in the Scottish countryside, faith and magic, and copious amounts of strong black coffee. Not necessarily in that order.
